UAFS has four advising centers on campus, each with its own unique approach to working with its majors. Scheduling an appointment with your assigned advisor is required for all students. Establishing a relationship with your advisor ensures that you are meeting your specific degree requirements and accomplishing your personal academic goals.
Peer tutors are UAFS students who have excelled in their courses and received a faculty recommendation. Tutoring is a free service available to all currently enrolled students at UAFS. Appointments can be made with tutors through Navigate.
The UAFS Smith-Pendergraft Library is a central hub for academic resources. It offers an extensive collection of books, journals, and databases for research, along with access to digital resources like e-books and online articles. The library also has study rooms and a quiet environment conducive to academic work. Librarians are available to assist with research needs, citation help, and finding resources for projects.
The Writing Center staff at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith welcomes all writers at all levels of experience.
We believe that anyone can benefit from collaborative tutoring and that the process of drafting and revision under the guidance of experienced writers is a fundamental step in strengthening confidence in one's writing. We hope to meet you wherever you are in your writing process and assist you in further developing your writing skillset.
The mission of the Academic Success Center is to enhance academic development as students pursue degrees and move toward graduation and beyond.
We hope you'll connect with our team of professionals as you pursue your academic dreams.
“When we build on our strengths and daily successes – instead of focusing on failures – we simply learn more.” -- Tom Rath
