As a pledge, you will be guided through an experience designed to challenge and inspire you while fostering personal growth, academic success, and community involvement. The brothers of Kappa Sigma are here to support you every step of the way, and we are excited to see the positive impact you will make on our chapter.

What to Expect

Commitment to Brotherhood and Academic Excellence

Throughout your 8-week pledgeship, you'll focus on building lifelong connections with your brothers while maintaining a strong commitment to your academics. Kappa Sigma values leadership, integrity, and scholarship, and we encourage each pledge to excel in their studies while learning the core values of our brotherhood. Expect support from your brothers and your assigned Big Brother, who will guide you through your journey. You'll also have access to scholarship opportunities provided by the Kappa Sigma Educational Foundation, which aims to help brothers excel academically.

Active Participation in Social and Philanthropic Events

Pledgeship involves engaging in both social events and community service. You'll participate in volunteering opportunities, helping our chapter give back to the community, as well as attending social gatherings that foster brotherhood. One of the highlights will be our formal event in New Orleans, where you'll celebrate the hard work you've put into your pledgeship in a memorable and exciting setting.

Financial Commitment and Responsibility

As a pledge, you'll be required to pay dues that contribute to the operations of the chapter and support the activities and events we host. These funds help ensure a well-rounded experience, from formal events to the development of the chapter’s educational resources. Additionally, this financial responsibility teaches important lessons about commitment and the value of supporting your chapter and brothers.
